Critical Eyes
Why must you tear me down?
Saying I’m no good or worthless.
You rob me of confidence,
And shove me around.
All my life I’ve done my best.
Why do you continually see life,
through clouded critical eyes.
Life is too short to always frown.
Try to look for the good in all you see.
Build people up instead of tearing them down.
Put on a smile, set your criticism free.

Taboo
TABOO
I sometimes feel as if I’m a taboo.
No matter who I love,
They all seem to become ill or die.
Sometimes I feel this way about you.
So maybe I shouldn’t love anyone.
Just live my life as a hermit.
Staying away from friends.
Then damaging pains aren’t done.
My life has always been tough.
Some things I’ve tried to forget.
Others are imprinted deep.
But now I see I’ve had more than enough.

I WILL NEVER ...
I Will Never Stop Loving You
Have I ever told you how I feel about you.
The feelings inside are true.
I don't know what it is.
I no longer even know the reason why.
All I know is I can't stop thinking about you.
I am sleepless in the night when all these
thoughts come to my mind.
I can only think of what you have said.
I get all warm inside.
I have a loving feeling that will not go away.
Sometimes I just want to hide behind the curtain.
I don't want you to see me cry.
It's harder for me everytime we have to say goodbye.
I can only stand up for myself.
When my friends try to tell you how I feel.
They say I'm in love with you.
Is this real.
Why did this have to happen to me.
What did I do to deserve this.
Can you even see.
I want to tell you how I truly am.
I want to be more than just your friend.

Rising up
Rising up above it all
Look up to the light
Lest you fall
Don't give into pressure
as it tries to crush you
find the courage to endure
the things you may go through
As the directions change up ahead
the past is just a memory
Cling tight to the present instead.
and hope for the things that can be.

my own tax poem
(My own version to the tax poem )
The government kills us everyday
They come after us till there is no more
there is no break they're here to stay.
Even if we tried to hide they'd hound us even more
this is the way they like to play.
What they tax and what they take
are things we need to live.
They tax us for every mistake we make.
then wonder why we can not give
anymore , so they tay away our breaks.
Each year they promise they wont add more
That things will get eaiser just wait and see
Then they end up worse than before
They say we're privileged, but you could've fooled me.
extra Things they tax
every strand of hair on our head.
every bite of food we eat
they count the times we go to bed.
they count the toes upon our feet.
Then they'll count the time we'd mow our lawn.
or if we take too long.
Calling it an enviromental tax.
I could go on forever , and the list is really long
but if I'm not careful they'll tax this too.

Forgiveness
Fixing the broken bonds of
our own making of things
ruined by hurting the gifts
friends & life) God gave
instead of showing the value
they can hold in our lives
efforts must be made to heal.
never just stopping half way
eventually the fruits of the labors
show and grow from sincere efforts
sin can not win unless we allow it to.
To do this we must learn
to forgive ourselves first
and then our neighbors.
Those that hurt us and do it intentionally and those that
don't even know they did.
Then take it to God.
Ask for forgiveness
from them if you are the

Then take that to God as well.
